This set was made between March and May 2011 for the 1st year of Photography at KASK in Gent, Belgium within the subject of "Free Project".
My theme "In Bed With..." was first idealized as a homage to my friends and their places, more specifically their bedrooms, their most intimate place. Based on the decor of their bedrooms we can see bits and pieces of who they are and what they do. But as the project came to be, the line between reality and fiction became more unclear so I end up with this series of photos where my friends are portrayed as people that are lost in between the real world and a projection of a fantasy (mine and theirs).
The scenes were all thought and brainstormed on location and the available light and objects were used, so I like to say that there was a lot of improvisation.Digital Photography, Photography2011 -
These photos were taken during my first year of school at KASK in 2010/2011 around Gent, Belgium.
Some of them were part of my first assignment for school that included among others the task to take two landscape photos. Even though not all were selected I decided to include here my favorites and some others that I took later during vacation or when wandering around with my camera.Digital Photography, Photography2011 -
This set was made between March and May 2011 for the 1st year of Photography at KASK in Gent, Belgium within the subject of "Group".
The purpose was to follow a group of people and document their activities through photos. My group was the people that work at the Kasteel van Zwijnaarde and the Country Club. My focus was mostly on the daily preparations and external catering. I did not have the chance to follow a wedding nor a bigger event.
